Hi, I'm Alfred, or I'm also often called Alfie. I am just settling into my foster home, but so far things are great!! I'm still adjusting to the climate change (from TX) but if you go outside with me, I will do my potty business and want to go right back in. I do go to the door often when I have to go potty, but am still learning, so I may have an occasional accident if you miss my subtle cue. I am doing great with the other dogs here, both big and small but do not initiate play yet. I do not currently live with cats, but have in my previous home, and was told I did great with them too. I just want to be a lap dog and snuggle up with a good book or the TV and my people. I have been around kids and love to get pets and give kisses with my toothy grin. I do not beg too actively for people food either, but love my kibble time. I am crate trained, but will cry if I know you're home, because I want to be by the people. I ride amazingly well in the car on your lap too. My foster mom says I am a great guy who will get scooped up fast, so apply quickly if you're interested in meeting me.

All Ruff Start dogs and cats are spayed/neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccines, microchipped, dewormed, and on monthly flea/tick and heartworm prevention (dogs) as well as heartworm tested (dogs).

Ruff Start Rescue is a foster based rescue. Animals are located in homes throughout Minnesota. We do not have a facility where animals are kept.
